Esta hermosa artesanía es un atrapasueños kikapú, está formado por un círculo de madera y en su interior varios hilos en forma de telaraña, entre los cuales se fija un cuarzo; en la parte inferior se desprenden hilos con chaquira llevando en el extremo plumas de ave. La tradición cuenta que por la red del centro pasan todos los sueños; por un lado las pesadillas se deslizan por las plumas y se desvanecen con el primer rayo de luz al amanecer para no ser recordadas; por otro lado, los buenos sueños permanecen en la red para ser recordados al despertar. Sin duda una muestra más de nuestra riqueza cultural y del talento artesanal de nuestros pueblos indígenas en Sonora, México.

This beautiful craft is a Kickapoo dreamcatcher, made with a circle of wood filled with multiple strands like a spider’s net and a small quartz in the center; in the bottom carrying strands with beads and bird feathers at the end. The tradition says that by the center pass all our dreams; the nightmares slide down by the feathers and vanish with the first ray of light at the sunrise to not be remembered; in the other hand, good dreams remain in the network and are remembered when we wake up. This is another really beautiful work made by artisans of the State of Sonora, México.

La etnia Mixteco se localiza principalmente en los estados de Oaxaca, Guerrero y Puebla; así como en muchos otros estados en diferentes proporciones. En el estado de Sonora, México, se ubican principalmente en el Poblado Miguel Alemán y colonias del Municipio de Hermosillo. Esta hermosa canasta fue elaborada con la técnica tradicional con la habilidad ya reconocida de los artesanos mixtecos; para elaborarla se utilizó “rafia” en vez de la tradicional “palma”, este cambio en consecuencia del clima tan extremo que tenemos en el estado de Sonora (noroeste de México), el cual no permite trabajar de igual manera los materiales del suroeste mexicano. Como resultado tenemos una gran obra de arte donde queda plasmado los bellos colores de nuestra cultura y tradición Mexicana. Simplemente, una gran obra digna de admirar.

The Mixteco ethnic group primarily located in the states of Oaxaca, Guerrero and Puebla; is olso present in many other states in different proportions. In the state of Sonora, Mexico, are mainly located in the Poblado Miguel Alemán and other areas of Hermosillo. This is a beautiful basket that was made with the traditional technique of a Mixteco artisan; was developing with "raffia", even the traditional material is "palm", they had to change the materials that they use to used like a consecuence of the extreme weather that we have in the state of Sonora (northwest of Mexico), it does not allow to work equally like in other places of México. As a result, we have a beautiful work of art which show us the beautiful colors of our Mexican culture and traditions. Really worth to admire this piece.
